Invites you to our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 25th
3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
NEW this year! Ramble the Raccoon’s Puppet Show 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Owl Programs, Face Painting, & Food 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pumpkin Carving Contest & Costume Contest will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Hay Rides to Trunk or Treat Event 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Site Decorating to hand out candy 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This is a safe and unique way to trick or treat by going “campsite to campsite” in a family friendly, festive atmosphere. Individuals or groups can sign up to decorate a campsite and provide candy to the little ghosts, goblins and princesses.
** NEWTHIS YEAR!!! Bags and flashlights will be provided this year thanks to Linary Church of Christ.
** This event is FREE to the public.
** This year we will be asking all trunk or treat participants to park in the swimming pool parking
lot or the upper playground area. From both places you will enjoy a hayride to the campground
(Waivers must be signed before participating in the event). We will run hayrides to and from the
campground until 7:00 p.m. You are more than welcome to walk to the campground from where
you park, but the campers will not be handing out candy until 5:00 p.m. So please do not enter
the campground before 5:00 p.m.
** To save time the day of event please print your waiver off the Friends Group website
www.cmspfriends.com and bring with you the day of the event.
** Food will be served at the pool snack bar: ~ Hot dogs, chips, and a drink will be available for a
donation of $2.50. ~ All proceeds go to the Cumberland Mountain Friends Group for future programs!!
** For those who want to participate in the trunk or treat event by handing out candy to the little
ghosts, goblins, and princesses, campsites will be set aside, however you must notify the park to
get a site one day prior to the event!
** Participants handing out candy on the sites are allowed to decorate their vehicles and
campsite for the event only, and are responsible for any clean-up that is needed at the end of the
If you choose to camp on the site during the event regular camping rates apply, and you must
reserve your camping spot ahead of time due to our new reservation system!!
*** In the event of inclimate weather…the trunk or treat will be cancelled.

SPECIAL THANKS goes out to the Department of Health for allowing us to receive a grant to purchase new kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, PFD’s, and paddles this year. The Friends of Cumberland Mountain along with the Department of Health hope to encourage people to get outdoors and be active!
For the 2014 Summer boating season, ALL kayaks, canoes, & paddle boards will be FREE for the public to use. Specific boating programs will be offered for those who want a guided tour. Those are listed in the flyer below. All other times are self-guided.
We encourage everyone to come and take advantage of this opportunity. It’s for one season only!!
